My friend told me to start taking alsi seeds daily for fertility and now im seeing it everywhere online too. We are trying to conceive since few months. Does flaxseed actually help or its just one of those things? anyone tried?
I added flaxseed to my routine while trying, just a spoon in smoothies or curd. Its a healthy seed overall, but i wouldnt call it some magic conceiving food. I treated it as part of an overall good diet, not a fix.
With PCOS i read a lot about seeds and tried flaxseed too. Honestly it can be part of a healthy diet but it isnt a guaranteed thing for conceiving. I'd say keep your overall diet balanced and check with your doctor before adding it in big amounts.
Flaxseed is nutritious, has good fats and fibre, so as part of a balanced diet its fine. But dont expect it alone to help you conceive. If you're actively trying, a gynac checkup is more useful than focusing on one superfood.
At home they suggest all kinds of seeds and nuts when youre trying. I had flaxseed in moderation, it cant hurt as part of good eating. But for actually conceiving, trust your doctor's guidance more than any single food.
