Im 8 weeks and have a work trip coming up, 3 hour flight. Got a little nervous thinking is it safe this early? planning to ask my gynac also but wanted to hear from others who flew in first tri.
I canceled all my travel plans because I was too scared of the pressure changes! If you absolutely must fly, please wear comfortable shoes and keep your doctor's number on speed dial.
I flew during my 8th week for a family event and everything was completely fine. Just stay hydrated, walk around the cabin, and keep a positive mindset.
I know how stressful it is to make these decisions when you are so anxious about the baby. If flying makes you nervous, it's totally okay to postpone the trip for your own peace of mind.
Please check with your gynac before booking any tickets. Only your doctor knows if your pregnancy is low-risk enough for travel, so don't take any chances.
