We have cattle at home and the fmd vaccination for animals is coming up. I usually help around but now im pregnant and got confused whether being around it is fine. Anyone from a farming family knows about this?
FMD is the animal vaccine, foot and mouth disease, its for cattle not humans, so its not something taken in human pregnancy. If you meant a human vaccine you got confused with, just tell your gynac the exact name and they will guide you. Never take any vaccine in pregnancy without your doctor okaying it.
I cant advise on specific vaccines, I only know the tetanus shots my doctor gave me during pregnancy. For anything else please just ask your gynac with the exact name written down. They are the safe answer here.
Honestly any vaccine query in pregnancy goes straight to the gynac, not the community. Some are fine like tetanus and flu, others arent. Just ask your doctor with the correct name and dont take it on your own.
Whatever vaccine you are asking about, please clear it with your doctor before taking anything during pregnancy. Carry the box or name to your gynac and ask directly. They will know which are safe in pregnancy and which to skip.
