Feeling really drained in this heat and someone suggested gatorade to stay hydrated. Im in my second tri and just not sure if all that sugar and stuff is okay for baby. anyone had it during pregnancy?
Because of my sugar levels I avoided sugary sports drinks and stuck to water and coconut water. If you need electrolytes, ask your doctor for a better option. Gatorade now and then is fine for most without sugar issues though.
Occasionally its okay, like if you are dehydrated or had a stomach bug, but its high in sugar so not for daily sipping. I preferred coconut water or homemade nimbu pani most days. Check with your doc if you have sugar concerns.
