My grandmom keeps giving me amla everyday saying its full of vitamin C and good for baby. I do like it but want to know if too much is okay in pregnancy. Currently 20 weeks. Anyone?
I actually craved that tangy amla taste in pregnancy haha. Had it as candy and in pickle form but kept the salty pickle minimal. Fresh amla is the best option, refreshing and healthy.
Beta amla is considered very good, full of vitamin C. We used to make amla murabba which is gentle on the tummy. Have it in small amounts, not too sour on an empty stomach, that can cause acidity.
Amla is loved at home for vitamin C and immunity, my mom gave me a small piece daily. I had it fresh and sometimes as juice. Just keep the quantity moderate, and if u have acidity issues check with ur gynac.
