I drink green tea almost daily, like 2 cups. Were trying to conceive now and my MIL said cut it down. Is it actually harmful while trying na? Confused whether to fully stop or its fine in limit.
Not harmful at all, but it does have caffeine. Just don't drink it right after your meals as it can block iron absorption, keeping it to one cup is ideal.
Because of my past loss, I became very careful and avoided caffeine completely, including green tea. If you do drink it, maybe limit it to once a day or ask your doctor just to be completely safe.
One cup is fine, but don't drink it like it's water! Too much caffeine isn't great when trying to conceive, and trust me, you'll need all your energy soon anyway.
Green tea contains caffeine, which can affect folic acid absorption if taken too much. Just limit it to one small cup a day and you'll be perfectly fine, dear.
Personally, I switched to warm lemon water when we were trying to conceive. I used to have green tea occasionally, but decided to keep caffeine low just for my own peace of mind.
I love my hot beverages, but during conception, I cut down green tea to just one morning cup. Replacing the second cup with fresh fruit juice or coconut water was a delicious change!
