Is gum swelling a sign of pregnancy?

My gums feel swollen and bleed a little while brushing since last few days, never had this issue. Period not yet here and im wondering if its hormonal. Did this happen to anyone before they found out?

I felt my gums were puffy and bled a little while brushing, I got scared. Turned out it was normal hormonal thing, soft brush helped me.

It can be related, but swelling alone isnt a confirm sign of pregnancy. If gums bleed a lot, do see a dentist, they handle it safely for pregnant women.

My dentist said pregnancy hormones make gums more swollen and bleed easily, they even call it pregnancy gingivitis. He told me to brush gently and keep up cleaning. It got better after delivery for me.
