My recent report came and thyroid is on the higher side, im 14 weeks now. Doc has started something but i couldnt stop worrying after coming home. Did anyone have high thyroid in pregnancy and how did it go for ur baby?
Dont scare yourself reading too much beta. With proper doctor care thyroid is very commonly managed in pregnancy. Just be regular and honest with your reports.
I had thyroid issues in my pregnancy and yes it needs proper attention, but with regular checkups and medicine adjustment it stays in control. My gynac tested my levels every few weeks. Please dont skip those follow ups, thats the key.
My doctor explained that uncontrolled thyroid can affect the baby, thats why they monitor it closely and change the dose as pregnancy goes. Controlled thyroid is usually manageable. Get your TSH checked regularly like she said.
Amma kept telling me home foods for thyroid but my doctor was clear that medicine and regular testing is what works. I followed the doctor fully and it was fine. Eat well also but dont skip the medical part.
I would say take it seriously and stay in close touch with your gynac. High thyroid is not something to manage with home tips. Mine needed the dose changed twice, only blood tests showed that.
