Im 5 months along and getting bad acidity almost every night. I used to take himcocid before pregnancy. I will confirm with my doc but just wanted to hear if anyone used it during this time.
Acidity in pregnancy is so common yaar, I get it. But which antacid is okay for you should come from your gynac, not the internet. For me she suggested something safe and also small diet changes that helped a lot.
Best to check directly with your gynac on this specific medicine. They know your reports and trimester. Meanwhile eating smaller meals and not lying down right after eating helped my acidity a lot.
Please dont take any medicine on your own in pregnancy, even antacids. What's fine for one person may not suit you depending on your situation. Call your doctor and ask specifically about this one, they'll tell you in a minute.
I won't comment on whether it's safe, I'm not a doctor. I had bad acidity too and my gynac told me exactly which antacid to take and how much. Please just ask yours before taking any medicine, even the ones that seem mild, pregnancy is different.
Beta for mild acidity I used to keep small things like cold milk or soaked saunf, sometimes a little buttermilk after food. But if you need an actual medicine, only take what the doctor approves, dont buy on your own.
