My MIL adds hing in almost every dal and sabzi for digestion, says its good. but i read somewhere we should be careful in pregnancy. im 3 months now, is small amount in cooking okay? wanted to hear what others do.
In cooking amounts its totally fine, helps bloating which is a real problem in pregnancy. Dont start eating it like a supplement or in heavy doses though. Little pinch in food, no issue.
A small pinch of hing in dal or sabzi for digestion is what we always used at home, helps with gas. But beta dont take it in big quantity, just a little for cooking is fine. Anything more, ask your doctor first.
My MIL always adds thoda hing in food saying it helps gas in pregnancy. I used the normal cooking amount and was fine. Just dont go overboard with it na, normal tadka quantity is ok.
We use a tiny bit in rasam and dal at home, very common. It's gentle in small amount. If you have any condition though, just confirm with your gynac, otherwise normal cooking use is okay.
