Im in my second trimester, around 22 weeks, and my right hip pains a lot especially when i sleep on that side at night. By morning its better but the turning in bed is so hard now. Is this a normal pregnancy thing or should i mention it to my gynac?
Mine got better with some gentle pregnancy stretches my doctor okayed and slow walks. Hip pain is common from the weight and posture change. But pls check with your gynac before starting any exercise na.
Some hip discomfort is normal, but if the pain is severe, on one side suddenly, or you feel any tightening like cramps, do mention it to your doctor. Better safe in such things.
Totally normal, especially as the belly grows. Your ligaments loosen and the pressure shifts to the hips. A pillow between the knees while sleeping on the side helped me a lot in both pregnancies.
Haan I had this in my last trimester, sleeping on one side too long would make my hip ache. Changing sides and a warm (not hot) compress gave me relief. It eased off after delivery.
Yes very common. Sitting too long at desk made mine worse, so I'd get up every hour and stretch. A maternity pillow at night was honestly the best small investment for the hip ache.
