Im 16 weeks and lately craving hummus with khakra and veggies. Its made of chana so i feel its healthy but just wanted to be sure its safe to eat regularly in pregnancy. Anyone been eating it without issue?
I lived on hummus during my pregnancy, lol. Chickpeas, good protein and fibre, totally a nice snack. Just make sure its fresh, homemade or properly stored, not something sitting open for days.
Loved hummus as a clean snack during pregnancy, felt better than chips for sure. Good protein to keep energy up. Just go for fresh batches and youre set.
Hummus is fine and actually a healthy choice, protein and good fats. Only thing, watch freshness and hygiene, avoid if its been left out too long. Pair with veggies and youre good.
I had to watch my carbs in pregnancy so I had hummus with cucumber and carrot instead of too much bread. It kept me fuller and steadier. Good option overall, just mind your portions and what you dip with.
