Is hydrogen peroxide safe for teeth during pregnancy?
My gums have been bleeding and i was thinking of using a whitening or peroxide rinse i had at home. But now im unsure if its safe to put in my mouth while pregnant. anyone checked this with their dentist?
I would avoid using it on my own during pregnancy honestly. Better to skip the whitening and any peroxide rinse for now and check with a dentist. They can suggest pregnancy safe options for whatever the tooth concern is.
I had bleeding gums and got worried about what's safe to use. My dentist told me to skip whitening stuff and just do gentle regular brushing for now. Pregnancy gums are common, did anyone else get that? Better to ask a dentist na.
For teeth whitening with hydrogen peroxide, most dentists actually suggest waiting till after pregnancy just to be cautious. For normal dental care, stick to your regular toothpaste. If you have a gum or tooth issue, see a dentist and tell them you are pregnant.
There isnt strong evidence it's harmful in tiny amounts, but whitening treatments are usually postponed during pregnancy as a precaution. Safest is to ask your dentist directly and mention you are expecting before using any peroxide product.
