These days idli is the only thing my stomach is accepting in the morning, everything else makes me feel ulti. Im 9 weeks. Is it ok to eat it almost daily ya should i mix it up?
Mere ghar pe, my saas always suggested eating idli when my stomach was upset. It is fermented and steamed, so it's super easy to digest and very healthy for the baby too.
In our house, idli is a daily staple and my mom always says it's the best food for pregnant women. However, I still asked my gynac and she agreed it's great because it is steam-cooked and easy on the stomach.
I understand how you feel, we literally question everything we eat during this time! Idli is actually one of the safest and lightest things to eat, especially if you have morning acidity or nausea.
Idli is amazing! It’s light, healthy, and you can pair it with coconut chutney or hot sambar. Perfect for those sudden morning hunger pangs without making you feel too heavy.
During my first trimester, I had terrible nausea and couldn't digest anything. I felt so relieved when I could finally eat idli without throwing up. It was a lifesaver for me!
Idli is generally very safe and light. But if you have gestational diabetes like I did, watch the portion size as rice can spike sugar levels. Better to discuss your diet plan with your doctor.
