Is it bad to squeeze your breast during pregnancy?
My breasts have become very sensitive and full since I got pregnant. Sometimes, out of curiosity, I might gently squeeze them. Is it bad to squeeze your breasts during pregnancy, or should I avoid it completely?
Oh, I know how itchy and heavy they feel during pregnancy! But please try not to squeeze them, especially if you see any yellowish fluid like colostrum coming out. Squeezing can make them very sore and even lead to an infection.
I used to constantly check and worry if my breasts were changing or leaking, so I totally understand the urge to squeeze. But my doctor strictly told me to leave them alone as it can trigger early contractions. Try to distract yourself and don't worry.
Please avoid doing this, as nipple stimulation can release hormones that cause the uterus to contract. If you are experiencing pain, severe itching, or unusual discharge from your breasts, please consult your gynecologist to be safe.
I felt so curious when my breasts started leaking a bit of colostrum in my third trimester, and I made the mistake of squeezing them. It made my breasts super sore and my gynac told me to stop immediately because it's not safe. Just leave them as they are.
Please be very gentle with your body right now. Squeezing your breasts can actually stimulate oxytocin, which can sometimes cause mild uterine contractions. It's best to avoid doing this to keep your pregnancy safe and secure.
