Is it common to get a cold during early pregnancy?
5 weeks along and i already caught a cold, runny nose and feeling weak. Mil keeps saying immunity goes down in pregnancy but i wanted to hear from others. Did this happen to u also in early days?
Yes very common, immunity dips a bit in early pregnancy so colds catch easily. Rest, fluids, steam and warm soups usually sort it. Dont take cold medicines on your own though, ask your gynac which are safe if it gets bad.
I caught a cold right at the start and panicked thinking it would harm the baby. My doctor said a normal cold is fine. Did others also get one early on? It made me so worried for no reason honestly.
Beta, a little cold is common, immunity is low these days. Warm haldi milk, ginger tulsi water and steam used to help us. But if u get high fever or it lingers, dont take random medicine, show the doctor na.
