Is it common to have bleeding during pregnancy?

Saw a little spotting today and honestly it scared me. Im around 8 weeks. I'm going to call my gynac but wanted to hear if this happened to others too and turned out okay.

My doctor said light spotting can happen in early pregnancy for some women and isnt always alarming. But she was clear that any actual bleeding should be reported to her the same day. So light spotting maybe, real bleeding always means call.

I had some bleeding and didnt take chances, went straight to my gynac. Sometimes it is minor, sometimes it needs attention, only the doctor can tell. Please dont wait it out at home.

I know how much fear bleeding brings, having been through a loss myself. Some women do spot and go on fine, but please always get it checked quickly. Be gentle with yourself and call your doctor.
