So much hair is coming out while combing and in the shower, im genuinely scared looking at it. Im around 5 months. I thought hair becomes better in pregnancy but mine is the opposite, anyone else?
I felt so worried when clumps started coming out, especially after the baby came. My doctor reassured me it was the normal postpartum shedding and it would slow down, and it did. So dont stress too much, its quite common.
When my hair fall was heavy, it turned out my thyroid needed adjusting. So yes it happens, but if its excessive pls get ur thyroid and iron levels checked. Sometimes its not just hormones. Regular follow up sorted mine.
I totally understand, it can feel scary seeing hair fall. During pregnancy my hair was actually thicker, but after delivery it shed like crazy for a few months. That postpartum fall is super common and it did settle down. U are not alone in this.
Some hair fall can happen, often more after delivery than during. Hormones and sometimes low iron or thyroid play a role. Eat well, oil ur hair, and if its a lot get ur thyroid and iron checked with ur doctor.
Dont stress yaar, its pretty common, way more after delivery though. Just eat proper, take ur supplements as doctor said and be gentle while combing. It usually calms down on its own.
