We are planning for a baby and my fasting sugar came as 99 in the report. Now im worried if this will make it harder to conceive. Im going to ask my doctor but wanted to hear from others who maybe had borderline sugar.
99 fasting is actually in the normal range mostly, so it should not be a big problem for conceiving. But since sugar matters in pregnancy, please get it confirmed and ask your doctor before planning. Better to start with everything in check.
A reading of 99 is generally considered normal-ish, not high. It shouldnt make conceiving hard on its own. Still, do share your full reports with a gynac so they can guide you properly before trying.
I had PCOS and sugar issues, so I get the worry. 99 is not alarming, but I would say get a proper check and maybe an HbA1c done. Dont assume the worst, just go in informed. Take it one step at a time.
Honestly the number alone doesnt say much, context matters. Please dont stress, but do consult a doctor before conceiving so they can check thyroid, sugar everything. It made my journey smoother.
