Honestly I never liked milk much and now in pregnancy everyone at ghar is forcing me. Im 16 weeks. Is it really that important or can I get calcium from other things instead?
Since I have a history of PCOS, dairy sometimes triggered inflammation for me, so I had to be careful. Milk is excellent for calcium, but if it doesn't suit your body, please ask your doctor about alternative calcium supplements. Don't force yourself.
Haan bilkul, doodh toh peena hi chahiye baby ki bones ke liye na. Meri saas roz kesar-badam wala doodh bana ke deti thi. Agar plain doodh achha na lage toh thoda shake banake pee lo.
I still remember how hard it was to gulp down milk during my early months with all the nausea. But thinking about my baby's health gave me the strength to drink it. It really helps later with breastfeeding too, so try to have at least one glass.
Milk is really good for your calcium needs, but don't stress if you can't drink it. You can easily get the same nutrients from ragi, cheese, or leafy veggies. Just eat healthy and take your calcium tablets regularly as prescribed.
Honestly, I am so tired of everyone forcing milk down my throat in this third trimester! But my gynac says the baby's bones are growing fast now, so calcium is a must. If you hate milk like me, just eat paneer or curd instead.
