Is it mandatory to conceive a baby during shanthi muhurtham?
Family is putting a lot of pressure about following the shanthi muhurtham timing and honestly its stressing me out. Just wanted to know from others did you all follow this strictly or not? is it really a must?
We are also dealing with this from our families right now. I felt a bit pressured honestly but my husband and I decided to treat it as just a nice ritual. No need to feel it is mandatory, take it easy.
We did follow the muhurtham as a nice positive start, it felt special. But I truly believe it is about the good feeling and blessings, not a rule. Whenever it happens for you, it will be the right time.
It is a cultural belief, not a medical requirement at all. If it brings your family peace and positivity then lovely, do it. But conceiving is about your fertile days, so for that part listen to your body and your doctor.
My MIL was very keen on the muhurtham too and we did it to keep everyone happy. But she herself later said the most important thing is a healthy baby whenever it comes. So take it as a blessing, not a deadline.
In our family also they do shanthi muhurtham and elders give a lot of importance to it. But honestly it is more a tradition and blessing thing, not a must for conceiving. Conceiving depends on your cycle and health, so dont stress if the timing doesnt match.
