Is it normal to have heavy bleeding during pregnancy?

Im really scared right now, bleeding more than just spotting and im 11 weeks. Im going to the hospital, just typing this in the car. Has anyone had heavy bleeding and things turned out okay? please.

My doctor was very clear that heavy bleeding is always a warning sign and needs urgent checking, unlike light spotting which can sometimes be harmless. Dont try to judge it yourself. Call your doctor immediately if its heavy.
