Is it normal to have right side pain in pregnancy?
Second trimester here and I keep getting this dull pain on my right side, mostly when I turn or get up. Thoda worry ho raha hai but not unbearable. Did anyone else feel this, is it normal?
For mild gas pain, drinking warm water or lying on your left side helps. But right side pain can sometimes be serious, so if it's sharp or doesn't ease up with rest, please contact your doctor immediately.
If it's a dull ache that comes and goes when you stand up or change positions, it's likely ligament pain. However, if you have fever, vomiting, or severe sharp pain, you need to go to the hospital immediately to check for appendix or ectopic issues.
Look, don't ignore right side pain thinking it's just normal pregnancy stuff. If it's mild, drink water and rest, but if it doesn't go away in an hour, go to the clinic. Always trust your gut and get a professional opinion.
Right side pain can sometimes just be gas or muscle stretch, but it can also be something that needs attention like appendix or gallbladder issues. Because of this, it is best not to guess and consult your doctor immediately.
Any sharp or persistent pain on the right side needs a doctor's evaluation. It is always better to be safe than sorry during pregnancy. Please call your gynac today and explain the exact type of pain you have.
Mild pulling or stretching pain on either side is often just round ligament pain as your baby grows. I had it too on my right side. But if the pain is constant or sharp, definitely get it checked by your doctor.
