Is it normal to have shortness of breath during pregnancy?
Lately, I've been feeling short of breath, even with light activities. I'm pregnant and worried if this is a normal symptom or if I should be concerned.
Oh wow, I didn't know breathlessness starts so early! I am planning my pregnancy now and reading all these posts makes me realize how much our bodies go through. Hope you feel better soon, hang in there!
Haan, bilkul normal hai, mere time pe toh stairs chadhne mein hi nani yaad aa jati thi! Just take proper rest and don't exert yourself too much na. Thoda deep breathing kiya karo, relax feel hoga.
In my pregnancy, I used to sit straight and do simple breathing exercises in the morning, it helped a lot. But honestly, if you feel dizzy or have chest pain along with this, please check with your gynac immediately. Mild breathlessness is okay, but safety first always.
Beta, body is carrying a whole new life so it is bound to get tired. Try sitting cross-legged on the floor with straight back, and don't do heavy work. If it gets too much, ask your doctor once just to be sure.
Actually, this happens a lot because of hormones and baby pushing up. I had gestational diabetes and had to be very careful with what I eat, but this shortness of breath was a different struggle. Just eat small, light meals so your stomach isn't too full, and definitely tell your doctor about it.
It's quite common as the uterus grows and limits the diaphragm. Try not to rush into things, just slow down your pace. But keep an eye on it—if you feel extremely fatigued or if it happens even when resting, let your gynac know.
