I used to jog every morning before getting pregnant and i really miss it. Now im in 2nd trimester and feeling fine, but not sure if running is safe to continue. anyone kept up their running?
It depends a lot on your fitness level and how the pregnancy is going. Some women continue light running early with doctor's ok, others are advised against it. Best to let your gynac decide for your case.
Honestly I'd be careful with this one. I had some issues so my doctor said no running at all for me. Everyone's case is different, so really ask your own gynac before doing it.
I stuck to walking in both pregnancies, felt much safer than running. If you really want to stay active, walking and light stretching are enough. Save the running for after delivery.
I was a runner before but my gynac told me to switch to brisk walking and prenatal yoga once pregnant. If you were already running regularly some doctors allow light jogging early on, but please get your doctor's green signal first. Dont start new running now.
