There's a family wedding coming up and it's around 7 hrs by car. Im about 9 weeks and a little nervous about the long road journey this early. Did travelling early cause any issues for you?
Im 9 weeks and have a family function out of town soon, this is exactly my worry. Good to know short travel is usually fine. I think Ill ask my doctor just to be sure since its a 6 hour road trip.
Depends a lot on your case. I had spotting early on so my doctor told me to avoid long journeys for a while. If everything is fine for you its usually okay, but please check with your gynac before booking, especially for long trips.
If your doctor says all is well then a little travel wont harm. Just go easy, dont sit in one position for hours, keep stopping and stretching. Listen to your body, if you feel very tired or unwell, rest.
Generally yes if your pregnancy is normal and you are not bleeding or in pain. I travelled in early months both times, just took breaks, drank water and didnt do anything too tiring. If you have any complications then ask your gynac first.
I had work trips in my first trimester and managed fine. Keep snacks for nausea, stay hydrated, take aisle seat so you can move and pee easily, and dont overpack your schedule. Quick doctor okay before a long flight is smart.
