We have a family function back in my hometown and its like 6 hrs by car. Im in my 8th month and thoda nervous about sitting that long. Will ask my gynac also but wanted to hear from u all who travelled this late.
Uhm, I'm not sure about the 8th month specifically, but I've heard that late pregnancy travel can be quite risky. Most airlines have restrictions, and it's generally advised to stay close to home around that time. It sounds like something you should definitely ask your doctor about, just to be on the safe side.
Oh, traveling in late pregnancy requires so much thought and caution. After my own experiences, I learned to be incredibly careful with everything. In the 8th month, you are very far along, and there's a higher chance of early labor or complications. Most doctors would advise against long-distance travel then. Please, please talk to your gynac and get a very clear 'go ahead' from them, and check airline policies too. Your safety and the baby's safety are paramount.
Honestly, by my 8th month, I felt so huge and uncomfortable, the thought of traveling anywhere far sounded like a nightmare! My body was tired, I had swelling, and I was just nesting. Even a short car ride felt long. So, while it *might* be okay for some if the doctor clears it, I personally wouldn't recommend it from an comfort perspective, and there are risks associated with late-term travel too. Listen to your body and your doctor.
Beti, 8th mahine mein safar karna, khaas kar door ka, bilkul theek nahi hai. Yeh bahut nazuk samay hota hai. Kabhi bhi kuch bhi ho sakta hai. Airlines bhi mana karti hain aur doctor bhi. Ghar pe raho, aaram karo. Zaroori ho toh doctor se pooch kar hi chote safar ke baare mein socho. Apni aur bacche ki sehat sabse pehle hai.
Traveling in the 8th month of pregnancy is generally not recommended by medical professionals and most airlines have restrictions due to the increased risk of premature labor, potential medical emergencies, and discomfort. While short, local trips might be manageable with a doctor's clearance, long-distance or international travel is usually advised against. It's crucial to have a detailed discussion with your obstetrician who knows your specific health condition before making any travel plans.
