Is it possible to conceive a day before your period?

We are trying and got a bit careless timing wise close to my period date. Now im wondering about the chances. My cycles are mostly regular. Is conceiving that late in cycle even possible?

From what I understand its very unlikely right before ur period, because ovulation has usually already passed by then. The fertile days are mid cycle, around ovulation. But every body is different, especially if cycles are irregular.

Generally no, conception happens around ovulation which is mid cycle, not just before period. By the day before, the egg is usually long gone. But dont treat any day as totally safe if ur cycle isnt regular.

My tracker app showed the fertile window way before the period, around ovulation. The day before period is normally past that window. Still, apps estimate, so for irregular cycles dont rely on it 100 percent.

With irregular cycles like mine, the timing gets confusing and you cant always be sure when ovulation happened. So the day before what u think is ur period might not be safe. If u're trying or avoiding, better track ovulation properly or ask ur gynac.
