We stay on the second floor and there's no lift, so I'm going up and down a few times a day. I just found out I'm pregnant, around 5 weeks. My MIL panics every time I take the stairs. Is it really an issue this early or am I worrying for nothing?
Stairs are fine dear, our bodies are built for normal movement. Just be careful not to slip, especially if youre feeling dizzy. Slow and steady and you're good.
For most women its safe, but I had a low lying placenta so my doc told me to limit stairs. So it really depends on your case. If your pregnancy is normal you're fine, but ask ur gynac once to be sure.
My saasu maa kept saying dont climb stairs, baby gir jayega, but my gynac said its completely safe to climb normally. I just held the railing and didnt rush. Listen to doctor over these old fears na.
Totally fine to climb stairs in early pregnancy, I did it daily with both my kids. Just go slow and hold the railing. Its only if your doctor specifically tells you to avoid due to some condition that u stop.
I climbed two floors to office every day in my first trimester, no issue. Just dont run up or carry heavy bags while doing it. Hold support and take it easy, thats all.
