Before pregnancy I used to do light workouts, but after my positive test I stopped completely. Now I feel stiff and lazy, but scared to restart in first trimester. Did anyone exercise early after doctor approval?
I was so scared to even walk fast in the beginning. My doctor said normal walking is totally fine, just no intense workouts. Anyone else felt nervous moving around early on? i relaxed a lot after she told me.
I followed a prenatal yoga app but only the trimester appropriate, doctor approved routines. Stick to low impact, listen to ur body and stay hydrated. If something feels off, stop. Apps are nice but ur gynacs advice comes first.
Walking is the safest and best, i did it both times. Avoid jumping, heavy lifting and anything that strains the belly. If u feel cramps or bleeding after, stop and call ur doc. Otherwise gentle movement is good for u.
Mine was a sensitive early pregnancy so my doctor told me to avoid exercise for a few weeks. So please dont follow a general rule, it really depends on ur own case. Ask ur gynac what is safe for u specifically.
I kept up gentle walking and some light prenatal yoga in early pregnancy after my doctor okayed it. I stopped heavy gym stuff though. If u were active before, light continuation is usually fine, but get ur gynacs green light first specially in first trimester.
