Is it safe to do hair straightening during pregnancy?

Have a family wedding coming up and i was planning to get my hair straightened, but then i started wondering if all those chemicals are okay right now. Im in my 5th month. Anyone got it done while pregnant?

Many prefer to avoid chemical treatments especially in the first trimester due to the fumes and chemicals. If you really want to, doing it in a ventilated place later on is what some choose. Honestly I'd just check with your gynac to be safe.

I postponed it honestly, the smell alone made me nauseous back then. I just kept my hair simple during those months. You can always do it once baby arrives.

I skipped chemical straightening both times, just felt safer avoiding the strong chemicals. Waited till after delivery to pamper my hair. It's not worth the worry for a few months.
