Is it safe to do laser hair removal during pregnancy?
I had booked my laser sessions before i found out im pregnant, now im 10 weeks. Dont know if i should continue or pause it for these months. Is it safe ya better to wait? anyone did laser while pregnant?
Honestly, just wait until after the delivery. There is no major safety data on laser hair removal during pregnancy, and your skin is way too sensitive right now anyway. Stick to basic shaving or waxing for a few months.
I was midway through my laser sessions when I got pregnant and had to stop. I'm currently in my second trimester, and my hair growth is actually less anyway. Are you also seeing changes in your hair growth because of hormones?
Actually yaar, why take any chance? My clinic flatly refused to do my laser session when I told them I was expecting. Just do normal waxing or threading for now, safely ghar pe.
Beta, these modern machine treatments are not good when you are carrying a baby. Use traditional ubtan with besan and haldi to keep your skin clean and soft, it is much safer.
I had to pause my laser sessions the moment I found out I was pregnant. My dermatologist also said they don't do it on pregnant women. Now that I've delivered, I am planning to resume it soon.
Most dermatologists and obstetricians advise against laser treatments during pregnancy simply because there aren't enough clinical studies proving it's safe for the fetus. Plus, hyperpigmentation is common in pregnancy, so laser might cause skin burning.
