Is it safe to drink turmeric milk during pregnancy?
My family always says haldi doodh is good for health. But now that I'm expecting, I'm wondering if it's still safe to drink turmeric milk. Is it okay to have it during pregnancy?
Honestly, haldi doodh was my go-to when I couldn't sleep at 2 AM, though now I'm sleep-deprived for totally different reasons! It is safe in normal kitchen quantities. Just don't expect it to cure the middle-of-the-night baby kicking!
I am drinking this right now in my 3rd trimester to deal with these crazy leg cramps! Just a small pinch of turmeric is fine, just don't put too much unless you want your baby to come out looking like a mango, haha.
My senior consultant at Max Hospital said a pinch of turmeric in milk is totally fine for daily immunity. But if you have any acidity issues, definitely run it by your doctor during your next visit. They give the clearest advice.
I totally understand wanting to make sure everything you consume is 100% safe for your little darling. Warm turmeric milk is very soothing and safe in small amounts. It feels like a warm hug for your body, so enjoy it gently.
Having a small pinch of turmeric in warm milk is perfectly fine and actually boosts immunity. Just don't go overboard with heavy spoonfuls of Haldi, as too much heat isn't great. Keep it mild and you're good to go.
My MIL and mom both insisted on giving me haldi doodh every evening for my back pain. It is completely safe as long as it's just a pinch. Old family remedies really do work wonders sometimes!
Mummy used to make a warm cup of haldi doodh for me every night when I was staying at her place. It really helped with my body aches and kept me warm. Just use a tiny pinch of pure ghar ki haldi.
