I sprinkle chaat masala on basically everything haha but now im wondering if its ok during pregnancy. Mummy says its fine but I just want to be sure. Anyone know?
A little bit of chaat masala as a seasoning for your fruits or salads is generally fine. The quantity used is usually small. Just make sure it's from a reputable brand and stored properly. Don't go overboard, but don't deny yourself small cravings either.
Oh my god, I've been craving all things chaat lately, and chaat masala is key! I'm in my second trimester now and trying to be careful. Is a little bit okay? I get worried about all the spices sometimes. Did anyone else crave this?
Chaat masala is usually high in sodium, and during pregnancy, it's generally advised to moderate salt intake. Too much sodium can contribute to water retention or even affect blood pressure. So, while a tiny pinch for flavour might be okay, I'd personally avoid using it regularly and stick to fresh, less processed seasonings.
Thoda sa chaat masala for taste is usually fine, especially if you're craving it. But if you already have acidity or heartburn issues, it might aggravate it due to the spices. Listen to your body, and if you have concerns, always check with your gynac.
