My MIL keeps soaking almonds and giving me everyday, plus dates and walnuts. Im in my 2nd trimester and im just wondering how much is ok in a day? Dont want to overdo it na. Anyone here who had dry fruits daily?
I keep soaked almonds as my snack instead of biscuits, feels healthier and keeps me full. Honestly better than munching chips. Bas portion control rakho.
Totally safe, I ate soaked almonds and 2 dates every morning in both my pregnancies. Just dont overdo dry fruits, they are heaty and high cal. A small fistful a day is enough.
Beta my mother always gave me soaked badam and akhrot, soaking removes the heat na. Walnut is good for baby brain they say. But keep the quantity small, dont eat handfuls.
My amma told me dates are very good in last months, helps with delivery. I took it but only after my gynac said okay since dry fruits add sugar. Maybe just check once with your doc about quantity.
One thing, watch the dates and raisins if you have any sugar issue. I had GD and dates spiked my sugar so I had to cut down. Almonds and walnuts were fine for me. Ask your doc to be safe.
