I used to have alsi seeds in my breakfast smoothie before pregnancy, almost daily. Now im in my 3rd month and read somewhere that flaxseed should be avoided. Is that true, anyone still eating it?
I was told to avoid flaxseeds during pregnancy as they have phytoestrogens. I only started having them in small amounts after my C-section to help with constipation. For now, please stay safe and ask your doctor.
Look, flaxseeds are known to create heat and affect hormone levels, which isn't great during pregnancy. Keep them aside for a few months. Stick to safer seeds like chia or almonds if you want healthy fats.
Because of my previous pregnancy complications, I was advised to strictly avoid foods like flaxseed which can mimic hormones. Please don't take any chances and check with your gynac first.
