Im in my first tri and pudina chutney is honestly the only thing i can eat without feeling nauseous right now. But someone told me mint is heaty so getting a bit worried. Anyone had it regularly?
Haan pudina in chutney or in food is fine na, we eat it normally. I had it whole pregnancy. Bas strong mint oils and that kind of thing avoid karo unless doctor says ok.
For mild acidity or nausea I used a little mint and it gave relief. Small kitchen amounts are okay. But if you are thinking strong mint tea daily, better confirm with your doctor first.
Dont stress over a few pudina leaves yaar, its totally normal in food. I had pudina raita all the time. Just keep it as food not as some heavy herbal dose.
Mint actually helped me a lot with nausea, I used to add few leaves to water or chutney. In food amounts its generally fine. Just dont go for concentrated mint oil or supplements without asking doc.
I asked my gynac this exact thing. She said culinary amounts of mint, like in dishes or buttermilk, are safe. Its the concentrated mint essential oils and herbal teas in large quantity that you should be careful with.
