Is it safe to eat pineapple during pregnancy first trimester?
Im in my 8th week and was really craving pineapple but my saas stopped me saying it can cause issues early on. Honestly thoda confused now, is it actually unsafe in first trimester ya just a myth? Anyone ate it and was fine?
Honestly yaar, I had such a huge craving for pineapple pastry in my 8th week! I asked my gynac first and she said a few slices are totally fine, just dont eat the whole fruit at once. Satisfy your craving thoda sa, it won't hurt.
Double the babies means double the unsolicited advice, everyone told me pineapple is a big NO! Honestly, you'd have to eat like 10 whole pineapples for it to actually cause any harm. Enjoy a slice if you want, but maybe avoid the core just to be safe.
I was reading about this recently because we are planning too! Apparently the bromelain in it is what people worry about, but the amount in a normal serving is very less. Still, first trimester is so delicate, so I might just wait till the second trimester to be absolutely sure.
Oh god, I completely avoided it because even one small doubt would keep me awake all night. My MIL also said it's not good, so I decided not to risk it at all. If you have even a little bit of anxiety, just skip it for a few weeks, your peace of mind is more important!
Mere ghar pe grandma literally banned pineapple saying it causes heat. But actually, if you just eat 1-2 small pieces occasionally, nothing happens. If you are too scared, just stick to apples and bananas for the first 3 months to keep peace at home.
Look, why take unnecessary stress when you already have so much on your plate? If you really want to eat it, just call your doc's assistant once and ask. Otherwise, there are plenty of other fruits to carry in your office tiffin.
