Mango season is here and i am sooo craving kachha aam with namak. But my saas said raw things are not good right now. Is it actually fine in pregnancy or no? anyone?
Raw mango is absolutely fine in moderation and rich in Vitamin C, but excess can cause acidity. It's always best to have a quick word with your doctor if you have gestational diabetes or severe reflux. Wash it well to avoid any soil bacteria.
Is it completely safe though? I kept thinking the sourness or heat would affect the baby, so I only ate tiny bites. If you are eating it, please make sure it's washed properly and don't eat too much at once to avoid stomach upset.
I am currently in my 4th month and craving kacha aam daily with salt! Mere saath bhi yahi ho raha hai, nothing else tastes good. Does anyone else get mild stomach aches after eating it, or is that just normal gas?
Omg, I ate a whole plate of kacha aam with salt and red chili in my first trimester and then panicked thinking it would cause miscarriage! But actually my gynac laughed and said it is completely fine and even helps with nausea. Just wash it thoroughly to remove any chemicals.
I totally understand why you are asking, we literally doubt every single fruit we eat during these months. Please don't stress, raw mango is actually very common and helpful for morning sickness. Just listen to your body and enjoy a little bit!
I am literally surviving on raw mango slices with black salt to beat this crazy heartburn and fatigue in my 9th month. Trust me, it's the only thing that keeps me awake some days. Eat it but keep a bottle of antacid close, haha!
