I want to maintain my fitness, but I'm cautious now that I'm pregnant. Is it generally safe to continue exercising during pregnancy, and are there any restrictions?
No need for fancy gym classes or setups. Normal household work, climbing stairs slowly, and a 20-minute daily walk are more than enough to stay active.
With my twins, the only exercise my doc allowed was walking to the dining table, haha! But for a single normal pregnancy, light yoga or walking is great if your doctor clears it.
I only did simple prenatal stretches and gentle evening walks during my months. I made sure to avoid any heavy lifting or strenuous movements just to feel safe.
A daily evening walk and gentle home stretches are best. But if you ever feel any sharp pain, dizziness, or cramping, stop immediately and contact your gynac.
