Is it safe to have full eye exam during pregnancy?
My eyesight feels a bit blurry these days and i need new glasses. Im 5 months along now. Just wondering if the full eye checkup with drops and all is okay during pregnancy?
Totally safe! The eye machine isn't going to look all the way down to your belly, haha. Just avoid the dilating drops if possible, and go get your new glasses!
A regular eye checkup is safe, but please be very cautious about any eye drops they use to dilate your eyes. Always ask your gynac first before letting them put any medication or drops in your eyes.
Yes, it is perfectly safe to get your vision checked. Pregnancy hormones can actually change your eye pressure or power slightly, so just inform the doctor before starting the test.
I remember getting my glasses power changed when my baby was in my tummy. It's totally safe! Just skip the dilating eye drops if you want to be extra careful, but a basic exam is no issue at all.
I felt so nervous about even going to the eye clinic when I was pregnant! But my doctor reassured me that a normal eye exam is completely safe and won't affect the baby at all.
My eyesight got so weird during pregnancy, I thought I was going crazy from lack of sleep! Yes, the exam is safe, just make sure you don't fall asleep in the eye doctor's chair like I almost did!
I got my eyes checked in my second trimester because my vision felt a bit blurry. The checkup is totally safe, just tell the optometrist that you are pregnant so they are careful with any drops.
