Is it safe to have ultrasound every month in pregnancy?
My gynac is calling me for scan almost every month and ghar pe everyone saying itna baar ultrasound theek nahi for baby. Im 5 months. Is it actually safe to do so many? Thoda confused honestly.
Honestly, I had more than one every month towards the end of my pregnancy, especially in the third trimester. My doctor felt it was necessary to monitor baby's growth and fluid levels. It was completely safe, they use sound waves, not radiation. Just follow what your gynac recommends, they know best.
Beta, ultrasounds are safe when medically necessary, but *every* month might be a lot if there isn't a specific reason your doctor has given you. It's always best to ask your gynac clearly why so many ultrasounds are being prescribed. Never hesitate to get all your doubts cleared directly from your doctor for your peace of mind.
Oh, this is such a good question! I was also wondering about this for when I get pregnant. I mean, it sounds nice to see the baby every month, but then I also worry if too much is really okay. So, is it normal to have so many, or only if there's some problem? I hope someone can clear this up.
Haan ji, generally gynac khud hi bolte hain kitne ultrasounds karwane hain. Mere time par toh pehle ek, phir beech mein ek, aur last mein ek-do aur hue the. Har mahine toh sirf tab jab doctor ko koi doubt ho ya baby ki growth check karni ho bahut closely, na. Faltu mein zyada karwane ka koi sense nahi hai, doc ki advice hi follow karo.
According to most pregnancy apps and health sites, routine ultrasounds are usually recommended at specific intervals, like one in the first trimester, one around 20 weeks for anomaly scan, and maybe one or two more later. Having one *every* month isn't standard unless there's a specific medical reason. Always clarify with your doctor why they are recommending it.
