I used to jog every morning before pregnancy and i really dont want to stop. Im 6 weeks now. Is it ok to continue running this early or should i switch to walking? curious what u all did.
If you were already a regular runner before, many doctors allow continuing gently, but you HAVE to get your gynac to clear it first. I switched to brisk walking just to be relaxed, but it really depends on your body.
Please ask your doctor before anything. In my case they told me no running because of my history, walking only. Every pregnancy is different so dont go by what worked for someone else.
Generally light exercise is encouraged but running specifically is a per-person thing. If you werent running before pregnancy, starting now is not advised. Best to take your gynac's green signal.
I stopped running and shifted to walking and prenatal yoga, felt much safer for me. If you really want to run, only do it with doctor approval and never push hard or to exhaustion.
