I always sleep on my back, cant fall asleep any other way. Now im 6 months and someone told me lying straight is not good at this stage. Is that true? bit worried now.
In third trimester sleeping straight on your back becomes a fantasy anyway, your belly has other plans haha. I live with a pillow between my knees on my left side now. Whatever lets you actually sleep, do that within limits.
My mom set up so many pillows around me to keep me on my side in the later months. It was cosy and I slept much better. Whatever helps you rest comfortably, just lean left as your belly grows.
My gynac said in early pregnancy any position is fine, but later she advised sleeping on the left side rather than flat on the back. Lying flat on the back in the third trimester can press on a big vein. So early on dont worry, later side sleeping is better.
My app kept nudging me to switch to left side sleeping after a certain week. A pregnancy pillow honestly changed my life. Early on though, sleep however is comfy.
