i love sewing and wanted to make some small clothes for the baby but my mom keeps saying dont stitch during pregnancy, some superstition. is sitting and stitching actually fine? just curious what others think.
My MIL had some old beliefs about not stitching during pregnancy but honestly there is no real harm in it. I just made sure not to strain my back sitting long. Do what is comfortable for you.
Haha the only danger is pricking your finger if youre clumsy like me. Otherwise stitch away, your baby wont mind a bit of tailoring. Just stretch your back every now and then.
Stitching is totally fine, those old sayings about it are just myths. I sewed and did handwork throughout, no issue at all. Just dont sit in one position too long, take breaks for your back.
