Acidity is too much today and Gelusil is available at home, but I am scared to take anything without checking. I am 22 weeks. Did your doctor allow Gelusil in pregnancy?
Some antacids are considered okay in pregnancy and some are not, so it really should be your doctor's call rather than ours. Mine confirmed mine was fine. Until then maybe try cold milk or smaller frequent meals for the burning.
Antacids are commonly given in pregnancy but dont just self start it yaar. Quick call to your doc and she will tell yes or no. For acidity in between, smaller meals and not lying down right after eating helped me a lot.
Acidity in pregnancy is so common, I suffered a lot too. My doctor gave me something safe for it. Just show her and ask, she will guide you properly, dont take medicine guessing.
I had bad acidity and my doctor did allow me an antacid, but she told me exactly which and how much. I wont say take it on your own because what was fine for me may not suit you. Please ask your gynac before popping anything.
