Please be extremely careful while climbing stairs, especially in the early months. Hold the railing tightly and walk very slowly. If you have any history of bleeding, pain, or high-risk complications, please ask your doctor if you should avoid stairs completely.
I recently delivered and lived on the second floor with no lift, so stairs were unavoidable. My gynac said it's totally safe as long as there is no spotting or pain. Just don't carry heavy bags while climbing.
Climbing stairs when you are already feeling nauseous and dizzy can be so tough. Take your time, walk slowly, and stop if you feel tired. If you feel any sudden cramping or dizziness, please sit down immediately and call your doc.
I know every little movement feels scary when you are carrying your precious baby. Unless your doctor has advised complete bed rest, gentle stair climbing is actually good light exercise. Just listen to your body and rest when tired.
