I have hypothyroid since before and was already on thyronorm. Now that im pregnant (8 weeks) i got a little scared if i should continue it na. My gynac is aware but i forgot to ask properly last visit. anyone else taking it through pregnancy?
I was on thyronorm all through my pregnancy, my gynac and endo said it is needed for the baby and very important to continue. Never stop it on your own. Just get your TSH checked regularly and they adjust the dose.
My doctor clearly told me thyroid medicine is actually essential in pregnancy because the baby depends on your thyroid early on. The dose often needs increasing too. Please dont skip it, just follow your doctor and do the regular blood tests.
This is one thing you must take exactly as your gynac prescribes, dont guess the dose yourself. Thyroid control is really important in pregnancy. Keep your follow up appointments for the TSH testing.
