I keep getting cold and my family says take vitamin C daily. I already have prenatal tablets from doctor, so I dont want to overdo anything. Should I ask gynac before adding it?
Beta, amla and nimbu pani is what we always had, full of vitamin c and very good for blood. Natural is best. For tablets, only take what your doctor gives, no need to buy extra ones yourself.
Yeah getting vit c through food is safe, I had amla and citrus a lot. Just be mindful of sugar if you're having lots of fruit juice. For any extra supplement let the doctor decide the amount.
Vitamin c from food like oranges, amla, lemon is totally fine and even good, it helps absorb iron. It's the high dose supplements you shouldn't take on your own. Stick to fruits and whatever your gynac prescribes.
Normal dietary vitamin c is safe and beneficial in pregnancy. If you mean a separate high dose tablet, that's something to confirm with your gynac since too much isn't needed. Most prenatal vitamins already include enough.
