Is it safe to travel during pregnancy first trimester?

We have a family function in another city next month and ill be around 9 weeks then. By road it is like 5-6 hours. My saas is saying first trimester me travel avoid karo but i really want to go. anyone travelled this early? was it ok?

Medically, if there are no complications, short travels are fine but bumpy Indian roads in first trimester can be risky. Definitely get a green signal from your gynac before booking tickets.

Actually my doctor advised against long travel in first tri because of nausea and motion sickness, and honestly I just wanted to stay home and eat chaat! Better ask your gynac if you can travel.
